Welcome to Wonderfully Made Nutrition!
Hello! I am so excited to FINALLY move forward & take the plunge into my nutrition counseling & helping people heal with real food. I have so many things I desire to share: my innovative & nourishing recipes, the truth + debunk the many myths regarding food, my personal health journey & nutrition expertise, and healing with food for healthy body & soul.
A little more about me…
I grew up in Indiana, live in New Jersey now, and lived in NYC for a year.
If I had to describe myself in one sentence, then I’d say, “I’m an innovator, a deep thinker and am determined to help those around me to be able to experience the good in the world.” Then I’d also add that I could probably live in a kitchen because it’s one of the best of all places, have a crazy love for the outdoors, love to sing, to play piano, and all things music, and I try my best to be who God made me to be. Can I just have one big run-on sentence please?
I have been on a crazy journey of struggling through digestive health issues (which turned into full body health issues) for the last 5+ years. The fact that I was already on track to become a registered dietitian was such a blessing in my treatment process. I am so grateful that I felt inspired to turn to functional nutrition to use food as medicine, rather than stay within conventional medicine & nutrition.
I’ll explain more as time goes on, but I have made some serious changes in the foods I eat. I have grown a deeper respect for the blessing of life- not despite my health issues but because of them. I have gone through intense suffering with innumerable symptoms, many which I “powered through” to try to keep my life going status quo & normal to onlookers while experiencing my hidden life of debilitating pain & discomfort. My mission is to help people physically heal, but throughout the healing process, work with the suffering & discover the depths of who they are, who they are Wonderfully Made to be.
My suffering has been an opportunity to trust the Lord more fully, for “when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10).
Welcome! Know that you are Wonderfully Made. ~Psalm 139.
